Comment: I have decided between these 2 cards. But I'm not sure which is better. I tried looking up specs on them, but I didn't have much luck...Tell me what you think. MSI GeForce 4 Ti 4200 64MB or ATI Radeon 9200 128MB Both are 8x AGP...but my mobo only supports 4x so that doesnt matter. And the GeForce is a little more expensive. But which is actually better in performance, power, and speed?

Reply: (edit)I would go for the ti4200. Do a google search, you should be able to come up with something in the way of specs for these cards. I know there is a lot of reviews for the 4200

Reply: (edit)The ti4200 pummels the 9200 by about 50% http://www.ocaddiction.com/reviews/video/fic_radeon9200/pg3.shtml here's a good buy on a ti4200. I got one for my son a couple weeks ago. http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProduct.asp?description=14-121-141R&depa=0

Reply: (edit)I'm thinking about buying the MSI Ti4200 for about $80, the ASUS is more expensive. And I really don't think it matters even though ASUS is a better brand http://www.target-sale.com/tusa/items/videoagp/i03899.html

Reply: (edit)I actually noticed the specs on the ASUS are better than the MSI one... You think it would be noticable in performace. Or do you think the extra 10 bucks would be worth it?

Reply: (edit)And by the way, The test of the video cards that you gave me. The GF4 had 128 MB, and I'm only getting 64MB....wouldn't that affect the performance?

Reply: (edit)The 128mb ti4200 in the test has slower memory than the 64mb ti4200 in the newegg link, so actually the 64mb is faster. We are a ways off from 64mb being a hindrance in a video card. Generally speaking a 10% or 30% savings on a vid card or memory purchase results in only a very small decrease in performance. The reason for the price difference is the likelihood of it working. For instance leadtek and inno3d sell some very cheap cards, but their reliability is poor. That's what makes newegg refurb deals so good - they are cheaper than anything out there but newegg's service and return policy is the best and you can get a top brand for a good price.
