Hi all , I wish to increase the ram on my pc but am unsure what would be compatable with my existing ram. It is swissbit 2x512mb Pc2-4300-444 DDR2x8. Can I use pc2 4200 with this , will it work ok?, what makes of ram should I look for? what Mhz should they be? I know its a lot of questions, Please advise many thanks Windy2

i really never heard of PC2-4300 vs PC2-4200, but i found This when i Googl'ed your numbers.
what you could do is buy some PC2-4200 from a store (online or concrete) that has a decent return policy and see if it works. i really do not see why it wouldnt. try the new stuff in the computer with the old memory taken out. if it works then (depending on your comp) you could add back in your old memory and see if that works too.
