If you are referring to the Sharp PC-1211 ,http://www.computinghistory.org.uk/det/1333/Sharp-PC-1211/, I doubt you can install any RAM, even if you manage to find some. If not, elaborate on 1211.

The Ei System 1211 laptop isn't all that old. It uses DDR2-667 memory & supports a max of 2GB (1GB per slot).

The memory is *probably* accessible thru a cover on the underside of the laptop, although some manufacturers put it under the keyboard.

EDIT: I just found the following thread in another forum. It appears your system has one stick underneath & the other under the keyboard. My HP laptop uses the same setup.

There is only one slot in these laptops, They should never have sold them with Vista on them, with only 512Mb of ram. I have taken one of these apart and there is only one slot that take 1GB

I have looked under the keyboard and stripped the cover off. And the e system 1211 has No extra slot. Even though Crucial system scan says it does.
