Hello - I purchased the Rock Mibile Disk external drive for my files and I turned on my computer and it is not there. I am not sure how to find it or repair it. Since I can't even find it. I did try to disconnect the device thinking my computer would see the new device and ask me but it does not come up at all. Please help!! I have finals and all my files are on there!!

you should make sure it`s detected in the BIOS first
also please check device manager to make sure if the driver has been installed

WoW...I thought hard drives don`t need separate driver, then I thought their drivers are native with Vista

ok...please quit panicking and calm down...
Please post how you have connected your hard disk ( using usb cable, IDE Cable etc.)
Also check the device manager for yellow markers:
1.Click on Start and then Control Panel.
2.Click on the System and Maintenance link.
Note: If you're viewing the Classic View of Control Panel, you won't see this link. Simply double-click on the Device Manager icon and then proceed to Step 3.
3.In the System and Maintenance window, click on the Device Manager link near the bottom of the window.
4.Check for yellow markers...

Look in Disk Management to see if the drive shows there. The drive may not be partitioned and formatted.

Well nothing seems to happen. Usually the computer would tell me if there is new equipment attached but this time it doesn't ecknowledge it at all. I am not sure. It is fairly a new computer so I can't imagine what could be wrong but then again my two year old gets on here sometimes and changes all my settings and everything. Now if she could only tell me what she did.
