When is Neweggs best sale?

Specs: Windows 7, 4gb
I am buying a new computer this holiday season, from Newegg. When I mean new computer I mean, case to mobo, to CPU, etc... purchasing each part individually, to put together myself.

My question is, will Newegg slash their prices on boxing day, Nov. 26? Or mid-December? I know that SHellshocker and daily deals is always happening, but I don't know when to actually buy. Should I wait and hope they go crazy with a big xmas sale?

thanks for the advice,

Newegg puts something on sale every week. You just need to watch. Buy a case as soon as you see something for the right price. I usually stay on case ahead myself. Just make sure you get a case with a top mounted PSU but not with an elcheapo PSU included. The PSU is probably the most important item. I personally new spend more than $50 for any case, usually less.

If you are on newegg's email list you should get multiple emails every week. If you are planning on buying the latest and fastest CPU and graphics card you may not find them on sale at all.

Post your budget and what you use the computer for and we can then make recommendations.

Just looked in my in box. Have emails dated the 12th, 14th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 21st, 22nd.

They don't generally "go crazy". You just have to watch the shellshockers, daily deals, email specials, etc. & pounce when you see something you want. In the meantime, you should make out a wish list. Have you looked at the current 72 hr sale? You should also check Frys, SuperBiiz, & TigerDirect.

I have never found a good deal after Christmas. I'd be looking now until then for some deal and decide.

I like newegg but other places offer great deals so don't limit yourself. Shop around. A local store may even be a good choice.

All above, I usually shop Newegg and Tigerdirect, but I found a great deal at Microcenter on a CPU, reserved it online and drove out to get it, spent $3. gas and saved over $70. (last year). Be a little flexible and make a list of your top 3 choices or each item for the best flexibility for deals and check in the morning and again after 11PM since sometimes the next days deals come out then.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
