What Video card is better? Geforce2 mx 100 or Rage 128 Standard. These both came with computers and they both are garbage but which is better.

by Rage 128 'Standard' I assume you mean it is not the newer Pro or Ultra version. Looking at 3Dmark2001 scores on their website, the 128 Pro is around 25% higher score than the geforce2 mx100. In my experience of cards (i have kept note of 3dmark2001 score for cards I have used for comparison), the geforce2mx100 was about 5% better than the 128 pro. I assume the 128 standard is not as good as pro (I have never had the 'standard' one), So in my experience I would say the geforce is better. I believe also that all Geforce cards support T&L (for 3d games) and that the Rage128 series do not.

The Rage is really old and very incompatible with most newer games. The GeForce2 is great, but you'll new a faster one for games like Jedi Academy even(kinda old, but not too old of a game). The GeForce2 is getting so old that it has problems with DirectX 9. It doesn't have some of the features used by DirectX 9. You'll need that version to play newer games like Halo. But whatever you do, DO NOT turn to ATI. It has compatability and stability problems.
