What video card do I need?

Acer / Aspire x1700

Specs: Windows Vista, 4gb
I have an Acer Aspire X1700 w/graphics by nvidia/VISTA/INTEL Pentium E2220. My video card is bad and I need a replacement but all the things I read online are about upgrading a video card. I just need to replace my card with one like the original. The orig. was a GeForce G100 512MB DDR2 V/D and I have a 220 watt psu. I have a low profile card that is 6 3/4"L X 2 3/4"H X 3/4"D. I don't do any gaming just play some of the card games that came with the computer and use it for EBay and E-mail and utube video sometime. Any help would be appreciated.

Your board has a PCIe 2.0 x16 slot for graphics & as you already know, it must be low profile:

It looks like your board may also have integrated graphics. If it does, just connect your monitor to the onboard port. You can either use the onboard temporarily or you may find that it's good enough for what you use the system for. Otherwise, here's an nVidia 8400GS for just $10 after rebate. It's essentially the same card as the G100 but with slightly slower memory:

"the GeForce G100 sits at the bottom with just eight stream processors running at 1,400MHz, a 567MHz core clock and 512MB of 500MHz (1GHz effective) DDR2 memory"

There's also this Radeon HD 4350 which is a bit better for $15 after rebate:
