What sort of file is C:/Program Files/XVid/A

August 19, 2011 at 09:53:30
Specs: Windows Vista
This pops up frequently asking to be updated. It also says the handle is invalid. I do not install update and have tried. unsuccessfully, to uninstall the original program from my computer. I have Webroot security which I run daily. Also run Windows malware scan and defrag my system on a regular basis. If this is a bad file, why hasn't my security scans eliminated it.
What do I do if it is bad? Please help me. I am relatively ignorant. Thanks.

This is the file you are apparently have. Google it yourself for more info on it. I am not familiar with it, but you should be able to uninstall it. If you cannot uninstall it then look here:
I have not tried this but it is often recommended here and it has a 30 day free trial.
I also use Webroot and it is good, but I also like to keep Malwarebytes on my desktop for spot scanning for trouble. It is a good tool to have.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
