what memory is best

Specs: Windows 7, core 2 Extreme
I have a core 2 extreme with a 1066 FSB,and I just bought an Asus P5E3 PRO MoBo with a System bus 1600/1333/1066/800 MHz.What is the best DDR3 to use.I do like to game, but I'm not overclocking yet.Should I go with DDR3 -1600 or is this overkill without a 1600 FSB on my CPU?

What speed RAM do you currently have? If you pair up "fast" RAM (DDR3-1600) with "slow" RAM (DDR3-1066), it will all run at 1066MHz anyway. And if you plan to overclock, the DDR3-1066 will limit what you can accomplish unless it's removed. If you currently have no DDR3 RAM, get either DDR3-1333 or DDR3-1600 (whichever is the better deal) & underclock it to 1066MHz to match the FSB.

If you plan to overclock then I would recommend the 1600's since you would be able to achieve 2:1 Ratio at 1600FSB (OC freq 400 w/mult at 8 and then try raising it to 10 in small steps (400x8=3.2GB,400x8.5=3.4GB, 400x9=3.6GB, 400x9.5=3.8GB, 400x10=4.0GB))

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
