How do you find out what kind of motherboard you have and the specs on it?

Motherboards.org offer a software download that will give you your bios id string. The bios id can be entered into their database this should tell you the manufacturer.
Then use google to find the manufacters website.
Failing that Crucial the memory people have software that gives you lots of useful sys info.
Lastely look on the board its self and type any numbers or words into google sometimes can help.
