I looked it up on several websites that reviewed my system, I drew a sketch of the expansion slot, I sent it to a friend, he didn't know what kind of expansion slot it was, the reviews said it was PCI-Express Graphics card slot....etc

I'm looking at a roughly 90mm (take or give 5/10mm) black slot that has five "holes" in it. I compared them to an image of AGP and PCI-E and they're definitely not either of them. They both only have 2 holes, mine has 5.

Thanks for any replies.

I don't know what you mean by "holes".

If you're asking about your Thinkcentre M52 9210, the Lenovo site says:

* Slot 1: half length, 1 lane PCI Express or 1 ADD 2-R
* Slot 2: half length PCI [version 2.2]

My guess is you're looking at the "ADD 2-R" slot. According to IBM/Lenovo, it's for a "PCIe DVI-D connection adapter".

Oh okay then no wonder I had so much trouble locating it. So what's it for?

I mean, is there any other function for that thing?
