Curious, someone is selling their desktop on
Craigslist for $350. Here are the items for
sale.
AMD Athlon 64 3400+
ATI Radeon 3850
500 GB Sata II HDD
2 GB RAM
SATA DVD Burner
Extra NIC
Creative X-Fi Xtreme Music
Cigarette lighter and cupholder
Logitech S510 Wireless Keyboard and Mouse
combo
Thermaltake M9 Chassis
Asus K8v-x Motherboard
Logitech Dual-Action USB Controller
Linksys Wireless-N WUSB600 USB adapter
Iomega Prestige 250GB External DriveI'm seeing if they can go lower w/o the
External HDD, Router, USB Controller and
NIC. Hopefully somewhere around $300
Would that be a good price for this desktop?

No, in my opinion, it's an outdated system. Single core cpu, probably agp graphics card. I wouldn't pay more than $150 tops.

I have found that people tend to ask too much on some items on Craig's list. I see PII computers that I give away or junk out that people ask $50 or more. But then, asking and selling are two different things!!!

Thanks, you're right.. it is an AGP card
Now that you mention it, the agp card and single core does
make it overpriced. I'd love to find a system like that for $150
but I probably won't. I did get him to go down to $300 but now
that you've helped me look into it, I'll just suggest the $150
and leave it at that.I'm not looking for a gaming PC, just something that plays
High Def video, has DVI, VGA and S-Video ports, runs Windows 7, does Dual view and has a
wireless mouse(really need new pair of speakers too)Are there any deals of a system around $500 that meet my needs?
