It can be for any PCI card that you might want to add.

Are they both white? From looking at pictures I would guess that the longer one on the bottom is a 64-bit pci slot, and the top one is the shorter normal 32-bit pci slot.

Well, to answer everyone at the same time:
-I dont think it is another PCI card slot.
-It isnt a 64 bit PCI slot becasue it doesnt match the picture of the one for a 64 bi one on wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:P...
-I also think it isnt a Riser card becasue when i typed in pci riser card on the internet, the pictures the came up in the shopping results did not match the little grooves on the slot I have.
P.S. Both slots are white and the shorter one is already holding a graphics card, the longer one is the empty one. The only way I can describe it is by saying the tiny hole/groove/whatever/you would call it is almost in the middle of the slot. Its a bit to one side though. Thanks

Is your video adapter a PCI card? If so, the longer slot may be AGP.

What make & model is on the mother board itself? I can't find any picture that matches your description. Did you buy the PC new?
