What is your motherboard or system; exact model number is necessary.

Want to give us more information about this memory? You find it on the sidewalk, buy it, always had it, or what?

Specific computers/motherboards use a certain type, specification and speed of memory. If one doesn't match the other, then nothing works.

The part number you indicated is also ECC memory for servers and many home desktop systems refuse to work with that stuff.

Not all old motherboards support 1Gb memory sticks and that memory is designed for a 10 year old system.

So, more information - better anwers.
