what is externalization on my stratosphere and how do i disable its headset settings

I wasn't able to find the word externalization in the manual, but it most likely is to connect your phone to your computer as an external storage device so you can drag and drop files, music, videos to your phone over USB.
As far as turning off your headset??? you should just plug in some headphones.
