Hey,

I am a non-technical computer user and am having problems copying data to a non-rewrite CD on my new Toshiba laptop. I get the message that "DLA" does not support non-rewrite cds. What is DLA? Does this mean my new computer does not write to this type of CD or that I need some software to do it.

Thanks, Mongo 7

If you're using SOnic DLA, it's a feature enabling you to perform drag to disc with rewritable CDs.

To disable DLA in XP:

1. Right-click the drive name in My Computer.

2. Select Properties from the shortcut menu.

3. Click the DLA tab on the Properties dialog box.

4. Click the "Enable DLA on your drives" checkbox until the checkmark disappears.

5. Click OK.

After completing your backup, enable DLA by restoring the checkmark in the "Enable DLA on your drives" checkbox.
