what is a 1394 Net Adaptor?

i found a 1394 net adaptor in my wireless latop which is an hp compaq nx7010 any idea what it is or what its used for?

If you use Google and search on:-

"1394 net adaptor"

over 400 hits appear, giving much useful info about the firewire interface and connection of such peripheals as digital cameras etc.

1394 Net Adapter is the port into which you plug your firewire peripherals.
