Solved what graphics card i can buy

Specs: Windows XP, p4 ht 2gig
ihave a dell dimension 3100 and i want to know what is the max size in mb ican buy and what type of pci cards are best.I dont play games on my pc but watch some tv on it

Then why do you need to change the video?

As you know you don't even have a PCIe x16 slot for a dedicated graphics card. Installing a PCI graphics card will probably not improve the video.

In my opinion I wouldn't spend any money on that system.

The amount of video RAM isn't as important as the type of RAM & the width of the memory bus, plus you need to take into account the GPU core speed & number of stream processors..

I don't blame you for wanting to get away from the crappy Intel integrated graphics, but you need to decide whether it's worth investing in such an old system. According to the specs, your board has standard PCI & one PCI-e x1 slot.

PCI cards are a dime a dozen & generally not very good. But they're definitely a step up from the integrated. There are also a few PCIe x1 cards available but they're more costly.

the cards miqlick showed should do the trick for the purpose u want them for. u said its only for tv and NOT GAMING so this should suffice
