Checking out the specs on NewEgg.com - I think it looks like a pretty nice motherboard. :)

I use an MSI KT6 DELTA FISR. Nforce2 boards
are generally quit fast so I would say thats
a good choice. You should consider getting an
Athlon 64 or a Pentium 4 if you are building
a new computer as the AMD athlon is now
pretty long in the tooth.

Happy New Year!

That board is a very good one. If you don't need all the "bells & whistles", you might wanna consider the board I have - the Asus A7N8X-X.

Or have a look at the Shuttle AN35N-Ultra:

I have exact same mobo and am quite happy with it. I don't play any high end games, so I can't tell you how it works on that. But I do a lot of video and audio editing and could not be happier.

When all else fails beat the $%!* out of it!!!

Sure, have a look at mobile Athlon XPs at newegg.com. I think the 2500+ goes for less than $90 & will easily overclock to 3200+ speed (11 x 200). Make sure you have PC3200 RAM & a good PSU

Sorry but what is PC3200 RAM? Is that just normal RAM? I am thinking of getting 512MB is that enough?

How much power would I need for this? (Germany)

Would I need a fan to keep the inside from overheating?

I put this in an above subject but any recommendations on a stylish roomy case?

PC3200 RAM has a FSB of 400MHz and it's bandwidth is 3.2GB/s.

PC2700 RAM has a FSB of 333MHz and it's bandwidth is 2.7GB/s.

PC2100 RAM has a FSB of 266MHz and it's bandwidth is 2.1GB/s.

So basically PC3200 is faster than PC2700, and PC2700 is faster than PC2100.

The motherboard you picked out (The ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe) supports the 400MHz FSB so you should probably go with PC3200 if you purchase a CPU with a FSB of 400MHz as well.

If you purchase a CPU with a FSB of 333MHz, then you should get PC2700.

I use two sticks of 512MB PC2700 DDR (1GB of RAM total).

512MB of RAM should be enough for you. Perhaps get two sticks of 256MB PC2700/PC3200 DDR? (I'm told that buying in pairs is best.)

As for keeping the inside from overheating. You would need a heastsink but that should be included with the processor if you purchase it RETAIL.

You would also need two 80mm case fans or one 120mm case fan in the rear for exhaust. But the fan/s should be included with the case.
