I have similar problem with my Toshiba satellite pro u400. When I turn it on it comes on and nothing displays its like the screen does not even turn on but it shows me the power light and shows it is charging. and then after a while it goes off by itself. Please what can i do?
Nothing displays at all, not even the Toshiba screen? Try connecting to an external monitor...that should help determine if it's a problem with the laptop screen. Auto-shutdown could be a sign of overheating. When's the last time you cleared the cooling vents of dust with a can of spray air?
If the external monitor works then try looking at the laptop screen while you slowly close it until it is nearly shut. If during this you see anything on the screen it might be the cable between the motherboard and the screen - they fail due to hinging. The connections at each end have been know to come loose too.
Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
