I left my laptop next to the window while it was raining, bad idea right.... i let it dry out and now some of the keys aren't working. I'm just wondering, should I be looking into replacing the keyboard? or is it possible that the moderboard is damaged and the keyboard isn't working?

Water gets in and when it dries it sometimes leaves residues that can interfere with circuitry. It also may not have entirely dried. Disassembly of the system to allow cleaning of the keyboard contacts with an alcohol based cleaner may help. of course the water may have penetrated further than the keyboard. Your best course of action may be to take it to a tech for thorough cleaning & testing.
I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another so please feel free to ingore this.

Hi, It takes a long time for the water to evaporate especially from the keyboard. Open it if possible and put a fan on it for several days. Pure water usually does not damage it after it dries. My service guys used to wash keyboards all the time in fast food places. Of course keyboards were better made in those days.
Good Luck, Jim
