Western Digital 160gb EIDE HDD

Hewlett-packard / Hp pavilion dv6800

Specs: Windows Vista, AMD Turion 64 x2 Mobile
I got a hard drive from a freeview box that
didn't work, and I want to put it in an
external hard drive enclosure. Now, I can see
IDE external enclosures, but this hard drive
appears to be EIDE. As I don't actually know
what these mean :P, can someone tell me if an
external IDE enclosure would work? Or if
there's a specific EIDE one I need? Thanks in

IDE/ATA/EIDE are all compatible. An IDE enclosure will work. If using one that has been lying around verify it is 48 bit LBA compliant. That means it will support hard drives larger than 127GB.
