Weird problem w/ Acess Connections

This might be a bit Lenovo specific (and their website was no help, no tech support chat or decent diagnostics) but...I used to be able to power on/off my wireless radio via Thinkvantage Access Connections. For some reason, I can no longer do that (I'll click power on wireless radio but it doesn't do anything), and the only way to power up the radio is through the device manager. I've tried reinstalling the drivers and Access Connections but it hasn't worked. Any fixes other than restoring the hdd to factory default?
