i am having a really weird monitor problem. i just reinstalled windows xp with sp2 and now when i scroll down a page either in internet explorer or even in windows explorer, everything freezes for about 3 seconds then the monitor turns off and then back on followed by another 3 second freeze up. if i dont scroll up or down, it works fine. i turned off all of the effects in the display properties and in the advanced tab where i optimized the machine for best performance ( i unchecked everything). no hardware has been changed at all and everything worked fine up until i installed the new version of win xp with sp2. before i was just using win xp with sp1. also it is the same nvidia driver i was using before, i even tried the latest drivers. any ideas?

Do your sistem it's compatible with the new SP2? My friend has almost the same problem. Run an antivirus, is there no viruses, you'll have to then, switch to SP1 and install manually the updates.
