I bought a Microsoft Lifecam NX-6000 recently and went to try it out yesterday. I'm running Vista and therefore had to hop over to the Microsoft site to download the software. It installed fine and everything looked great. I went to have a video call on Windows Live Messenger and the mic was not functioning properly. The other person could hear the first sentence or two that I said, and then the mic was just dead. This happened repeatedly when we tried the calls again. I checked the audio levels on Control Panel, Lifecam Dashboard, and on Windows Live Messenger. After a little research, I also discovered that this particular cam has been having issues with Vista, even though the packaging brags about it being so compatible. Is that the problem, or is it something else? If it is, what do I do?
