Hi,

I've just purchased a new laptop (2ghz, 2gb) and am having problems with the web browsing. I am constantly getting occasions where IE will only load websites' backgrounds, gifs and/or banners, will start loading pages incredibly slowly or will just stop loading pages altogether (blank white screen). This isn't exclusive to certain pages it happens with all pages. I will then shut down and restart and web browsing will be fine for a short period of time then it happens again.

I have a Netgear wireless router and Norton (30 day trial that came with the Laptop) loaded. The signal strength from the router is always either "Excellent" or "Very Good" so that does not appear to be the problem.

Any ideas on what to do?

Thank you.

Yes, if it is new like you say, call Acer support, you may have bought a lemon.
Also, I wouldn't even consider using the Norton Trial.
IMO you would be better to use Avast Free and Comodo Pro free firewall
Use Nortons uninstaller from their website or nothing else will work properly.

Some HELP in posting on Cnet plus free progs and instructions Glad to Help!
