Solved wd velciraptor vs barracuda 7200

Specs: win7 ultimate, 2.8amdx4/12g ram
im thinking about moving my os onto a velaciraptor drive or ssd drive to make the os faster accesible. any thoughts. right now i am using a barracudia 1tb 7200 drive.

also i have a foxcon 2ab1 mainboard, it has a ati radeon hd 4200 intergrated video
i wanted to know how much better performance i could get if i install a seperate video card. i have pci expansion slots i believe...

An SSD drive would be your fastest boot up. Something around 120GB is a good compromise and will let you run your OS and a few of your more important programs. This is one I have been looking at:
When you are all set up, make an image of the drive back to your regular hard drive on a separate partition so if you have a problem, restoring it is not as much a problem. SSD's are already much more reliable than they were a year or two ago (as well as a lot cheaper), but some still have problems occasionally.
Your motherboard supports PCIe 16x (2.0) for your video card so finding a decent card is not too difficult. Yes, most decent graphics cards will be significantly better than your onboard graphics and you will free up your CPU and memory for other things as well. Your specs:
