hey,
I'm having some odd problems with Warcraft 3. I talked to a Blizzard support agent and they told me to see if there were any IRQ conflicts or something of that sort. I looked and these are the conflicts that I found.

"[Conflicts/Sharing]

Resource Device
I/O Port 0x00000000-0x00000CF7 PCI bus
I/O Port 0x00000000-0x00000CF7 Direct memory access controller

I/O Port 0x000003C0-0x000003DF VIA CPU to AGP Controller
I/O Port 0x000003C0-0x000003DF RADEON 7500

IRQ 12 Linksys LNE100TX Fast Ethernet Adapter(LNE100TX v4)
IRQ 12 VIA Rev 5 or later USB Universal Host Controller
IRQ 12 VIA Rev 5 or later USB Universal Host Controller
IRQ 12 VIA Rev 5 or later USB Universal Host Controller

Memory Address 0xE0000000-0xE7FFFFFF VIA CPU to AGP Controller
Memory Address 0xE0000000-0xE7FFFFFF RADEON 7500

Memory Address 0xA0000-0xBFFFF PCI bus
Memory Address 0xA0000-0xBFFFF VIA CPU to AGP Controller
Memory Address 0xA0000-0xBFFFF RADEON 7500

I/O Port 0x000003B0-0x000003BB VIA CPU to AGP Controller
I/O Port 0x000003B0-0x000003BB RADEON 7500

I/O Port 0x0000C000-0x0000CFFF VIA CPU to AGP Controller
I/O Port 0x0000C000-0x0000CFFF RADEON 7500"

This is specifically what happens when I have an error. Whenever I play Warcraft 3 it will just crash and give me an error like this:

"This application has encountered a critical error:

FATAL ERROR!

Program: c:\program files\warcraft iii\war3.exe
Exception: 0xC0000005 (ACCESS_VIOLATION) at 001B:6F2795E4

The instruction at '0x6F2795E4' referenced memory at '0x4562DF50'.
The memory could not be 'read'."

There is no pattern to these errors it could happen at any time... Which makes it even more frustrating to fix.

Sometimes the monitor will just shut off and the computer will crash totally.

So if anyone can make sense of these errors or tell me how to fix them, please tell me, any help would be appreciated.

it could be a sign of faulty ram..replace your memory and see if that fix your problem.

It is definately a ram problem, especially when other programs also mysteriously crash. The problem you described happened to me just 3 weeks ago. When I replaced the ram, the computer worked just fine. Try downloading a ram tester from www.download.com to confirm your problem.
