Volume Controller Will not work

June 3, 2009 at 11:17:28
Specs: Windows XP Media Center
All the sudden, the volume controller on the cord of my headset and the one on my keyboard stopped working. I don't have any clue why, I updated all my drivers, and I would really appreciate any help. Thanks.

Is there any sound at all? If so then probably bad sound card. If there is sound then my question is on your headphones. My head phones have a potentiometer on them. Basically it means that the volume control switch is a limiting device that cuts off the sound by removing connection from my headphone jack to my head set. I have never heard of headphones that interfaced directly with the windows volume control.
