Comment:
Viewsonic 19" monitor only displays 3 or 4 "collapsed" images-thin horizontal shape-of the parrots that viewsonic monitors display as startup default images when the monitor is not connected to a video input-any thoughts or like experiences with viewsonic or other lcd monitors?
No one else has responded to this thread so I'll give it a go. I am not exactly sure what you are doing. Are you powering the monitor when disconnected from a signal input? If so, why? I am not sure what would be normal under those conditions. Does the monitor work properly when a signal is fed to it?
Input signal or not the screen images are 4 replicates, vertically collapsed, about 1/4" in height, wavering and slightly angled downward to the right of the screen. They are representative of the input signal or the monitor ROM if the video cable is connected or not, respectively, but useless, of course.
