Reply: (edit)Your video card has to support video input, and it needs to have an RCA or S Video jack.

Reply: (edit)TV capture card will allow you to input your video source using either S Video or RCA connection. you also can record them and burn to DVD. I use Leadtek 2000 XP Delux and it work great.

Reply: (edit)if you don't want to have to use a computer (sounds like this may be the case) you can get converters... ask at your local electronics store, they're pretty common. only thing is they're a bit pricey. basically though, you'd only need to plug one end into your vcr, the other into the monitor

Reply: (edit)there are some old monitors like the philips amiga 500 monitor that has av sockets on, i used to use a vcr through it many years ago and it was good quality aswell, but as far as pc monitors go you either need a tv card or a convertor which would probably be more expensive than just buying an old tv.
