Video Problems

OS: Win 98
CPU/Ram: PIV 1.7/256
Comment:

When I turn on the computer sometimes the screen shows different colors like a rainbow.
If I turn off the monitor and turn it on again, everything shows normal.
I have changed the monitor and the video card, and the problem persists.
Can someone help me find the problem?
Could it be the motherboard?

Check your video cable to make sure that the pins are not bent!

sounds like drivers. you got the proper ones for your sound card?
have you got refreash rate set to high for your monitor?
