Hi, I have a case that pops out the agp card sometimes, and this time it blew the card up (literally.) It was plugged into my moms old 80's emerson tv, and when the card blew, the screen got bright like a camera flash, and the plugged sparked. Now, the TV works, but its stuck on AV. Only power button seems to be working (on the set itself.) could the card killed the tv? The funny part was, the heat sync blew off when the card went, it was just glued onto the chip, not attached to the board. So, my question is, can a card damage a tv like what happened to my moms? Or was it just luck?

It was luck. Bad luck. Electricity does funny things. It does not take much for a short to damage electronic equipment.
