Hi, my video card is a Nvidia RIVA TNT2. I play some games that do not support this video card because the video card is not "good enough". But I don't want to spend money on a new video card so I just turn the graphic details and other stuff all the way down so I can play the games, and I just accept the fact that I won't have very good framerates. Anyway, I was just wondering if doing this can damage ANY part of the computer? Thanks.

How good is that nvidia mx440 card? I don't know much about computers and stuff, how much RAM does it have or whatever. (sorry I don't know what I'm talking about) 64?

Yep, a geforce 4 MX should do the job for you. Here is the spec of the Geforce 4 MX

1. Geforce 4 MX 420, usually come with 32 or 64MB RAM, not a good choice for game.
2. Geforce 4 MX 440, 32/64/128MB RAM, depends, 64MB RAM DDR would be good, good performance, low price.
3. Geforce 4 MX 460, 64, 128MB RAM, best performance, but more expensive.

If your aspect, a 64MB Geforce 4 MX440 DDR should do the job for you. However, if you planning to play the newest games out there, your Geforce 4 MX won't able to handle it unless you get a Geforce FX 5900 Ultra or an Radeon 9800 PRO.

No need to spend that much money on a FX 5900 just get a GeForce 4 Ti4600 or 4800 those are enough. I play plenty of games on the highest setting and they play more then perfect. You might maybe start to strain a lil bit on the newest of new games like one of the newest FPS games coming out very soon. but even then i dont think so.

Love how the posts start out talking about not spending any money on a new card and end it talking about FX 5900's. LOL, pretty damn funny.
