My computer has a on board video card. I change the settings in the bios to primary PCI video card. I installed the PCI video card, plug in the moniter and turned on the computer and the moniter is blank. The green light on the moniter does not come on it stays amber color. What do I do or what did I didn't do?

Did you move the monitor cable from the on-board connection to the connection on the PCI card.

If you did and it still doesn't work, try re-seating the card in its slot and do not tighten the the nut to tight. It can sometimes lift the card slightly.

I did try re-seating the card already and the moniter cable is plug in the PCI card.

i reckon at this stage you need to be 100% certain that this card works. have you seen it working with your own eyes on any other computer?

I once had this same problem and never did solve it. Others have popped vid cards in&out with no probs. The only suggestion is to go into your BIOS and see if it sees your card as the primary video adapted, and if there are any settings that will work there.
