I have been spending hrs on google trying to find drivers for a S3 Trio 32/64 PCI (732/764) is. I have read places that the 32 has a chipset of 732 and the 64 of 764. Win 98 only says "S3 Trio 32/64 PCI (732/764)" Does it not know, do I have both? Is this why I cant find the drivers? Also the Win 98 CD used to install the drivers, but I reinstalled 98, and now it wont. I get an error (Please insert the disc labeled Win 98)

PS. If anyone cant point me in the correct direction for drivers, plz do so.

http://members.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?driverid=122633 - You'll have to sign up (It's free, just make sure to click no/skip to al lthe "offers".) definately worth the small hassle of signing up for, very good site for drivers.

I have both The S3 Trio 32 and Trio 64V+, Windows ussually loads drivers saying S3 Trio 32/64 because the cards arent greatly different and can use a generic driver. If you just go to google you shouldent have a great deal of trouble finding drivers, these cards are pretty common in older PC's.

If you get the error "Please insert the disc labeled Win 98" and you have the CD in maby it is looking in the wring place. Go to browse into the windows 98 folder on the CD (From memory I think it is jus labelled 'Win98") and once you are in that folder just press OK and it should load up fine.

If this is on-board video, the drivers should be on the manufacturer's site. If so, post back the motherboard model or the system manufacturer--IBM, Dell, etc.

Also before installing video drivers you often need to make sure the current adapter is identified as a generic VGA type. To do that check Dan's #2 here:
