I am expieriencing some difficulty installing a Radeon 7000 64Mb graphics card into my pc. Physically, the card fits just fine in the PCI slot and everything is dandy. Unfortunately, the physical aspect of installation is my only area of competence in the procedure and I ran into a problem quite quickly. The system booted fine and proceeded to load windows, alerting me of the newly detected video card. It all went to pieces after this however, as a few seconds later, I was horrified to bear witness to "MSGRV32 caused a general protection fault in module SETUPX.DLL", followed by the computer ceasing all function. I then restarted the computer and switched the primary video card in BIOS (the other one being onboard) but got a similar result. Short of formatting the hard drive, (which I'm guessing doesn't have too good a chance of fixing the problem anyway) I seem to be fresh out of ideas for resolving this horrible mess of a video card installation and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update---
I formatted the HD,and now the error message doesn't show up but there is still a problem. To put it simply, when I install the driver for my new video card, it demands I reboot the comp. Upon rebooting, the comp then freezes on the Windows loading screen. If I go into Safe Mode and uninstall the driver, then Windows will load normally, pinpointing that the problem is indeed with the driver. Any advice on how to tackle this connundrum?
