video card gives no signal when stressed

Specs: Windows 7, i5 2340 / 8gb
My amd radeon 7770hd gives no signal to my monitor when i play certain new games. The video freezes for 5/10 seconds, then i have no signal, then video comes back. I have this problem randomly maybe after 20 min when the video card starts getting stressed maybe after 4 hours, there can be 10 minutes between a crash and another or there can be hours. All drivers are up to date with catalyst, i also installed all recent drivers for the motherboard; the gpu temperature when stressed out never goes beyond 60c degrees and all the games run smoothly between 70-120 fps.
I have a vga monitor attached to the video card with a vga-dvi adaptor but that doesn't seem to be the problem since windows runs always good.

os: windows 7 64bit
motherboard: msi z68a-g43
cpu: i5 2310 @ 2.90 ghz
video card: gigabyte amd radeon 7770hd
power supply: corsair cx500 500watt
ram: corsair 8gb (4x4)

you must have overclocked graphic card accidently... put all settings to default in graphic settings and install latest direct x from microsoft and .NETframework and visual c++ and remove all startup items from sidebar by going to run-msconfig-startup and also check for virus

No thats not a virus issue, this could be a dying power supply
I want u if possible to try the psu in another pc and test if it happens or try the gpu (when testing GPU make sure there is enough power in the test computer to see if the gpu is the trouble and when testing power supply make sure the pc has power demanding hardware)

computers are a second home
