I have tried everything I could think of including switching out my primary hard drive with one I took out of my machine previously. It is supposed to be bootable but it still just sits there at Verifying DMI Pool Data. It doesn't even try to accesss my emergency boot disk in my floppy drive.

If after you check your cables and such, as Ryan suggests, you still have problems you may need to re-flash your bios. At least that was my experience with my computer doing that at one time. I flashed my bios and everything ran fine after that.

hello reboot 98 bootdisk in floppy drive and at the a:sys c: click enter after it says system tranfred reboot.
I found a way around my bios by installing a bios chip from a diff computer that uses the same kind of BIOS. Its just a matter of getting my CD-ROM drive to open so i can put my win98 Install CD in and install Direct Cable Connection
