Specs: Xp pro, Intel 2 gigs centrino?
Broke cmos clasp. I can rug it but it's a bear with lame tools. So no time upkeep, certs,bla bla.. Still Phoenix has PW!! How? Tryed bkdoor , no. Just need to boot to usb.. If it isn't windows it's a proprietary legality issue.. Ty ! usb boot ?? Vgn-fj170 xp/ubuntu 14.4

If you broke the cmos battery clamp the recommended procedure would be to replace it. For that you'd need to remove the motherboard to get access to its solder joints on the bottom. I don't know how difficult that is with your laptop.

Short of that you may be able to jury-rig something together--maybe some kind of external connection via wires to the original contacts.
