Hello, I bought a vaio laptop, comes with vista, I want to change OS to XP for personal convenience, I tried a working windows xp SP2 cd, XP SP3 cd, but none worked, at boot everything goes fine but then i get a blue screen error which says corrupt hardware and stuff, although my laptop is in perfect condition. thats what happens when i try to install from boot, but if i try to install from vista(while vista is runing) it says that you can't install xp because its old. I went to a sony shop and a salesman told me that because of the HDMI port i cant use xp, for there isnt a driver for the device in xp, now i dont mind having my HDMI not working and have a working xp OS. by default there is a hidden partition in my hard disk where vista recovery is stored, so i temporarily installed linux and deleted that partition but still i get the same error, i thinkso there is something inside the laptop that wont let me install any OS before vista, the question is that is it possible somewhat somehow to over come this limitation, does anyone know a method, i ill be grateful
