I'm working on a friend's sony vaio vgc-ra840g, and I'm having a hell of a time just taking is apart. I've never worked with a case like this before and have tried looking up information on disassembly. For right now I'm just trying to remove the PSU, and I can't seem to get it out (I don't want to break anything so I'm trying to research it before hand). Could anyone help me out? I'm kinda in a hurry, so a hasty reply would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Ok, now I'm having another problem. First of all when he gave me the computer, it didn't boot to Windows, and he had the Windows XP CD in the drive, so I guess he was trying to reinstall it. Now when I run the Windows XP installation, it runs the hardware check and gets to the actual part where you select the drive to install it on. In the drive list it says

Unknown Disk
(There is no disk in the drive)

... four times. The hard drive shows in the BIOS so I know that it's properly installed. So I remember it's a SATA drive so I download the SATA RAID drivers from Wester Digital's site. I load them from the disk during the hardware check, and seems to load it properly. But when I get back to the screen where it asks to select a drive to install Windows on, I get the same problem. Any suggestions? I really don't know what to do.

It seems you are over your head and I hope you haven't voided the warranty on what appears to be a newer computer.

Thanks for the reply but I already got the correct drivers, heh. I should have went to Sony's site and didn't know why I didn't think of that before. Either way my friend gave me a Windows XP Home CD instead of the Windows XP Media Center 2005 CD he should have gotten with the computer.
Thanks for replies. I shouldn't have any more problems.
