Hi

I am going to get a new 80gb HDD on Monday, my question is this

Can I connect my new HDD to slave and use XP file tranfer wizard to copy everything including the Windows XP to the slave HDD, once the copy is done can I disconnect my new HDD from slave and put it as master and use it as a normal 80gb, then take my old master 40gb and put it as slave, use XP to format it so that it's blanc, and then use it to stuff junk or whatever I want on it

Please Help as I never used XP file transfer wizard before, and I don't want to put XP Pro back in again as I have thousands of files and it will take me at least 10 hours to do it

Thanks for your help

Richard

In a word...no. The transfer wizard is meant to move files/setting from an old computer to one that already has XP installed.

For That I would use Ghost, make an exact clone on the second drive and then change master and slave, and reformat slave
