Comment: I am using a PC266 M810 SOCKET A mother board and have disabled the onboard Video card. I have installed a NVIDIA GeForce2 MX 100/200 Video card and everthing is hunky dory. I am wondering if I can re-enable the onboard Video card so that I can use two monitors.

Reply: (edit)THis depends, do you want to two monitors to be one big desktop, or do you want them to both show the same thing? To make it all the same desktop, reenable your onboard video, Win98 will auto-recognize it and ask for the drivers (or just install them, since you have had it installed before). You then have to go to display properties and check "Enable my Windows desktop onto this monitor" then reboot. To make them show the same thing, the only way I have done that is to buy a video splitter for computer monitors, basicly a little box with one 'in' and multiple 'outs' I'm sure there is a way to do it with two video cards, but I haven't done it myself. Post back if that is what you want, and Im sure someone else here will have the solution. HTH CP

Reply: (edit)I want to use two monitors as a big desktop. I can't re-enable the on board video. A second monitor shows up in the display properties but both monitors show up on the NVIDIA GeForce2 MX 100/200 Video card. I have checked "Enable my Windows desktop onto this monitor" on the second monitor and get the impression this bit will work. I have gone into the BIOS and switched to on board for the Primary Graphics Adapter but it still does not want to know. Why will the on board video card not show up. It use to work before I installed the NVIDIA card
