Hello everyone! :D
OK, I used to have an AC/DC adapter which worked fine with my Mac PowerBook 520c, but it won't work with my Toshiba Satellite A75! So I tried another adapter, and it still didn't work... even though the box said "All laptops"... :@ Is there a special adapter for this model? I really don't want to stay in a car like 4 hours without laptop again... :S Thanks! ;)

the box said all laptops? What a rediculous statement. Just about every laptop, even ones made by the same manufacture have different voltages and current draw.

You need to find one specificly for that laptop. here's a good place to start - http://store.yahoo.com/priorityelectronics/patosaa6a6a7.html

Or get a DC-AC converter that jstu has a regular 120v power outlet on it. Then you can plug in the laptops power adpter to that.

Step the powerup to 120ac so you can step it down to 12-14v dc again?????

Seems a little over the top doesn't it?

I have a Dell Inspiron 1200, I couldn't find an adapter (car/airplane) that had the right plug to fit in my notebook. I bought an adapter that plugs into my lighter and it has one outlet, I plug my notebooks adapter into that. (It's made by "Kensington")

Yes It's over the top, but it presently works. (until I break out the soldering iron, and make my own adapter).

I don't really know the voltages and I can't find them online... They don't even say on any of the manuals! :|
