This sounds like homework but I will answer anyway. USB 2.0 has a theoretical transfer rate of 480Mbits/sec which = 60MBytes/sec. In actual tests you will get far less than that. I just ran a test. 144MB file to a USB 2.0 flash drive. Transfer took 1 minute and 15 seconds. That equates to about 9 minutes for 1GB of data.
Summary: 480Mbs (Mega bits per second) not 480MBs (Mega Bytes per second). To know the transfer rate you have to take 480 Mbs / 8 = 60 MBs. But that is not really true since they are transfer in serial packe...
Summary: Hello, Can someone tell me what's the data transfer speed through PCMCIA? I am planning to buy a PC-CARD based USB 2.0 hub which claims to provide true USB 2.0 transfer rate. Thanks! ...
