Comment: HI, recently i have not been able to access my usb mass storage device namely an argosy hd 260 40mb drive, it also does not show up in my computer. previously, it was listed as e: i have checked device manager, and its listed underneath usb mass storage and samsung mp0402h usb device. i tried uninstalling it and scanning for hardware changes, but it still wasnt listed in my computer . also, i went to disk management to try and assign it a drive letter. it says space is unallocated and is healthy with an eisa configuration. i have files on it, and have accessed it before. what should i do?

Reply: (edit)Sounds like it became corrupted and now needs top be partitioned and reformatted...which also means what was on it is gone. Not uncommon with usb drives for the simplest of reasons, why I always recommend firewire drives instead.

Reply: (edit)The problem why it's not showing up maybe if you formatted it one time. There is data on the disk that makes it show up on My Computer. Sorry if I don't make any sense.
