Im interested in 2 models.
The Sony microvault 16gig usb
and the
Corsair Voyager 16gig,(one is red, one is blue)
the problem is no one knows their READ & WRITE speeds mb/s,so I was hoping someone here might know.
I have been to the sony website just to find out they did not
put the speed mg/s read & write into the specs. And with the Corsair Voyager 16gig, there are 2 different models
a red one and a blue one. Also Corsair do not list their speeds in the specs. If anyone knows ,please can you tell us ???
there are plenty of free programs that do speed tests, I have a 1gig measuring at write=12, read = 15
and 4gig measuring at write=20 ,read = 22

Well considering that Corsair specializes in memory, i'd choose it.
I also know that the Corsair Voyager GT(red) is really fast, hence the "GT" after its name. The Corsair Voyager is an ugly stick, but if looks dont matter for you, buy the Corsair Voyager GT(red).

I am curious as to what purpose you intend to put that flash drive to? Why is the speed important? Why would you need 16GB?

My guess is: Sony/Corsair do not want to explicitly implicate themselves by categorically posting those speeds is because it can & will vary from machine to machine. You gotta remember, there are folks out there that will claim their drive is a lemon if they aren't able to achieve the disclosed numbers from the manufacturer.
Personally, I am wary of Sony & their rootkit MO & won't be attracted to their flash drive & didn't waste my time on the microvault. However, Corsair has not made the information you seek as unobtainable or hard to find either ... see below.
