G'day, recently my ipod has been playing up and i plug it into the usb ports yet windows or itunes doesnt pick up that it is plugged in. I have done all the reset and disk mode stuff that is recommneded and not one bit has worked. I tried using a power adapter to charge my ipod and that didnt even recognise it and nor did it charge it. Took it to a mates house and charged it up on his power adapter. Brought it home and still no response. I have 2 usb cables for the ipod and they work as we tried it at my mates house. When i plug the usb device into this computer it stops the computer from operating and if i plug it into my other computer my thumb drive doesnt work (whilst plugged in at the same time) and my mouse wont work either. Oh and a side note that when we plugged it into my mates usb ports at his house it didnt work. Took it to the apple store and he put it on a dock connector and it loaded perfectly and in the process made me look like an idiot. Haha I hope someone can fix my problem, oh yeah and i have unistalled the usb drivers and reinstalled them to no help either.

Yeah tried them both and one works and the other just crashes. The one that did work detected that usb drivers were in use and blah blah. How can you check to see if you dont have SP2? i want to check as i have the file here but it doesnt seem to be working too crash hot at the moment as it freezes when i try to install...
