Everytime I connect my camera to my computer I get a message that pops up saying Power surge on Hub Port.A USB device has exceeded the power limits of it's port.I am then prompted to disconnect the device and click reset to reset the port.I do and it never fixes the problem.I have tried unplugging everything from my computer and I still get this message when connecting my camera.Everything else works fine.I can connect my mp3 player, use it fine and never get this message, it only comes up when I connect the camera.I reinstalled my easyshare software and it did'nt help either.I also pulled the plug on my computer and waited an hour before turning it back on as i was instructed to do from an online forum i visted. It did'nt work either. Please help me fix this.I have a dell dimension 5100 computer and use windows xp operating system. This has only begun happening recently.

If you are saying that the exact same setup has worked correctly in the past then there might be an issue with the camera.

Normally your usb hub has to be a "powered" type to support all usb products. If your hub doesn't have an external ac power adapter then you might try one with an adapter.

You can connect the camera to the computers usb port and find how much current it is drawing. If the computers port does this same power issue then your camera is going bad.

This has nothing to do with software.

If you aren't using a USB hub, try a powered hub with your camera.
